2018 Life Time Tri MPLS Registration Is Now Open!
Course
The star of the show

Life Time Tri Minneapolis offers International, Sprint and SuperSprint distance races for both individuals and relay teams (2-3 people).

The race starts with a swim in the calm, warm waters of Lake Nokomis. With exception of the premier waves, triathletes begin the swim with a time trial start (2 athletes every 2-3 seconds) from the beach. All participants complete a triangle course in a clockwise direction.

The Life Time Tri Minneapolis takes cyclists on a rolling tour of scenic, tree lined parklands and friendly neighborhoods along the Minnehaha Parkway. The Bike Course is unique in that it is 100% closed to traffic. This provides extra safety for participants along with plenty of space for passing and now, nice, smooth roads for our riders.

The Run Course leads all athletes along a gorgeous loop around Lake Nokomis. International distance athletes will complete two loops before finishing, while Sprint athletes complete one. Super Sprint athletes will follow an abbreviated Sprint course, eliminating the western edge of the traditional course.

Aid Stations

There will be water and Lemon-Lime Gatorade Endurance Formula available on course at all aid stations and at the start and finish lines. All aid stations on the course will have dozens of enthusiastic volunteers and portable toilets located nearby.

Gatorade Endurance is proud to partner with the LifeTime Tri Minneapolis to help fuel runners to the finish line. Grounded in years of hydration and sports nutrition research, Gatorade Endurance products are developed to meet the specific needs of endurance athletes.

Gatorade Endurance Formula
Gatorade Endurance Formula will be on course at every aid station. With nearly double the sodium and triple the potassium of original Gatorade Thirst Quencher, Endurance Formula is a specialized sports drink designed to hydrate athletes engaging in prolonged training and racing when fluid, electrolyte and carbohydrate losses can be significant.
